Our summer camps introduce the basics of entrepreneurship to kids aged 7-12 through fun and engaging activities. Each camp runs for one week in duration from 9am-3pm, Monday through Friday.
We will be inside for part of the day, however, we will be venturing outside for games, activities, and lunch! Please ensure your child packs the appropriate items needed for weather conditions such as suitable outdoor shoes, a jacket, or a hat. Please apply sunscreen before arriving at camp and pack sunscreen to re-apply.
Pick up / Drop off
You may drop your child off as early as 8:45 am. Pick up is by 3:15 pm. Camp starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm. Adults 18 years and older and are listed by parents are allowed to pick up your child. A driver’s license will be required.
Refunds & Cancellations
Cancellations within 16 days of the first day of camp will receive a full refund.
Cancellations within 15 days of camp starting will receive a refund less $50.
Cancellations within 7 days of camp starting, no refund will be issued but you are invited to choose another week that has openings available. IF we are able to fill your child’s spot we will happily give you a full refund.
Minimum / Maximum Registration
Each week of camp needs a minimum of 12 kids for the camp to happen. In the event that a week doesn’t have enough students registered, we will ask if your child is able to attend a different week. If he/she is unable, a full refund will be given. If we think this may happen we will give you as much notice as possible.
If a week of camp is full, please join the waitlist. If someone cancels we will let you know! We can only accommodate 22 kids each week so be sure to register early to guarantee a spot for your child.
Due to the format of the camp, there is not a way to make up missed days. We will do our best to bring your child up to speed on what they missed. Camps will not be pro-rated.
Lunch & Snacks
Kids should bring their own lunch and water bottle. We will provide a healthy snack of fresh fruits or veggies each day! You will be notified before camp starts if there is an allergy concern. Lunch will be outside weather permitting.
Behavior / Standard of Conduct
All camp participants are expected to follow the Spark. Ignite. Launch! Learning Academy participant guidelines, and to interact in a positive and appropriate manner with campmates and camp leaders. Negative behavior that impacts others physically or emotionally and/or conduct that is disruptive or deemed unaccepted may result in dismissal or removal from camp at the discretion of Spark. Ignite. Launch! Learning Academy instructors. In this event, no refund will be given.
Lemonade Stand Challenge on Friday
Over the course of the one week camp, children will work towards the Lemonade Stand Challenge which will be held on Friday. PLEASE NOTE: Fridays we will be held at the Krasl Art Center and kids should be dropped off there.
Campers will be selling their lemonade to the public and proceeds will benefit a local community charity that the kids agree upon. Kids will be working in two teams, and each team will run the stand for one hour each, between 11:30am-1:30pm. Your child will be bringing home a few flyers to help spread the word and let friends, family, and neighbors know to come by and support them.
At the end of the sale, the kids will get to present their charity with their donation!
Cell phones, iPads, etc. won't be needed for camp activities. In the rare case that they are, we will provide them. We want the kids to be present, engage in conversation and the activities, and therefore ask that you not send your child to camp with a device. If you feel that your child needs one, there will be a basket for all devices to be stored during camp. You can call or text us at any time should you need to get a message to your child immediately. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
